This policy describes how TrophyHunter.xyz (“we”, “us”) handles personal information when you use our website and services. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the site.
Who we are
TrophyHunter.xyz is an independent fan-operated website for PlayStation trophy tracking and related community features. We are not affiliated with Sony or PlayStation.
Information we collect
- Account data — when you register, we typically store your email address, username, and credentials needed to sign in (passwords are stored using standard secure hashing; we do not store plain-text passwords).
- Profile and usage — information you add to your profile, hunt lists, trophy checklists, difficulty ratings, and other content you submit on the site.
- Optional PSN connection — if you choose to link PlayStation Network features, we may process your PSN identifier and trophy-related data returned by Sony’s APIs to sync progress with games in our catalog. You can disconnect or stop syncing by adjusting your account settings where available.
- Contact form — name, email, and message content you send via Contact.
- Technical data — standard server and security logs (for example IP address, user agent, timestamps) may be generated when you use the site. We use these to operate and protect the service.
How we use information
We use the data above to provide and improve TrophyHunter.xyz: authentication, displaying your hunt and trophies, optional PSN sync, leaderboards and public profiles where you enable them, responding to support requests, preventing abuse, and complying with legal obligations where applicable.
Cookies and analytics
We may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for the site to function (for example session or security cookies). Where we enable analytics (such as Google Analytics), those tools may set additional cookies or read device information to produce aggregated usage statistics. You can control many cookies through your browser settings.
When you first visit, we ask whether you accept analytics. Your choice is stored in your browser (localStorage key th_consent_v1) so we remember it on return visits. You can clear site data in your browser to see the banner again and change your choice.
